Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung to help Uzbekistan promote democratic reforms
Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Dilshod Akhatov met on June 19, 2019 with the Regional Director/Resident Representative for Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), Christoph Mohr, the MFA press service said.
At the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for developing Uzbekistan – Germany cooperation in public, social, cultural and humanitarian spheres with participation of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung.
The Uzbek side expressed appreciation for the fruitful activities of the FES, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation, supporting the process of democratization and building the rule of law, promoting socio-economic development.
The parties reviewed proposals on topical projects of the Foundation aimed at promoting democratic reforms, including through the participation of the FES in training and advanced training of personnel from Uzbekistan.
