Procedure for nostrification of foreign university diplomas simplified 

Uzbekistan approved a simplified procedure for nostrification of foreign university diplomas, the press service of the Agency for State Services reports.

According to the new procedure, applications for the recognition of documents on education will be accepted only through the Centers for State Services (CSS) or the Single portal of interactive state services.

For this, the CSS employee must be provided the following documents:

- a copy of the diploma and its transcript;

- a copy of the diploma and its transcript translated into the state language (in a notarized form).

It should be reminded that the recognition of documents on secondary and secondary specialized education is free.

At the same time, a fee in the amount of three MMW (from August 1, the minimum monthly wage will be 223,000 soums) is charged for the recognition of documents on the secondary specialized, professional, higher education, retraining and advanced training.

It was also noted that the following documents can be recognized without exams:

- documents of applicants who have received secondary, secondary specialized education, as well as advanced training;

- documents of applicants, who graduated from foreign educational institutions, which have branches or joint universities in Uzbekistan;

- documents of universities included in the ranking of the top 1,000 international universities;

- documents of applicants, who have been educated on the basis of the directions of ministries and other departments;

- documents of applicants, who were admitted in the foreign educational institution before January 1, 1992;

- documents of graduates of educational institutions accredited by the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education;

- documents of graduates of educational institutions accredited in the USA, Australia, Israel, Canada, Singapore, South Korea and Japan;

- documents of applicants, who received education at the expense of funds allocated by the ministries and other departments;

- documents on education, provided for by international agreements, orders of the president and the government.
