PM Abdulla Aripov meets with President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov in Bishkek
Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov met with the President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov on August 1, 2019 in Bishkek, Kun.uz source reports.
Aripov expressed gratitude to President Jeenbekov for the reception and conveyed the sincere greetings and wishes of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
It was noted that cooperation between the two countries in political, trade-economic, transport-communication, banking and finance, science and technology, industry, agriculture and water management, tourism and other spheres is developing.
In particular, as it was stressed, the volume of mutual trade amounted to $446.5 in the current year, which is 2.5 times more than the same period last year.
“In the next few years, we will be able to increase our bilateral trade to $1 billion,” Aripov said. “Our countries have sufficient potential for this.”
The parties discussed issues of further development of cooperation between the border regions of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
