Khokim of the Fergana region Shukhrat Ganiyev promised foreign investors that their money would be treated with care.
On August 7, the I Fergana International Investment Forum 2019 opened, Sputnik Uzbekistan correspondent reported. Large investors from 28 countries, including Russia, South Korea, China, Saudi Arabia, India, Iran, Turkey and Belarus, arrived at the event.
“I guarantee that your investments will be safe and sound. You will receive benefits, and we will create the necessary conditions for you,” Ganiyev said as part of his speech at the event.
The forum will be held on August 7-8. Its goal is to attract foreign direct investment to the region, present the investment, export, tourism potential of Fergana, and establish effective cooperation with other countries.
Earlier it was reported that in the Fergana region, it is planned to implement 643 investment projects totaling 26.4 trillion soums in 2019-2020. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev obliged khokims and ministers to report on the work during the year. The region must work hard to attract investment, develop industry and entrepreneurship, the head of state said.
