Mild tremors felt in Uzbekistan after 5.9 magnitude earthquake hit Afghanistan
Mild tremors were felt in Uzbekistan early Thursday morning after an earthquake of 5.9 magnitude jolted the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan, the Republican Center for Seismic Prognostic Monitoring under the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.
Coordinates: 37.01 degrees north latitude, 69.42 degrees east longitude. Magnitude M = 5.9. Depth h = 180 km.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the distance from Tashkent is 473 km.
