Mild earthquake hits Uzbekistan
On August 18, 2019, at 20:46 Tashkent time, an earthquake was recorded in Uzbekistan, the Republican Center for Seismic Prognostic Monitoring under the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.
Coordinates: 38.95 degrees north latitude, 67.10 degrees east longitude. Magnitude M = 4.2. Depth h = 30 km. The distance from Tashkent is 314 km southwest.
The strength of tremors in Uzbekistan:
Jizzakh: 144 km; 2 points
Samarkand: 79 km; 2 points
Karshi: 114 km; 2 points.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, no casualties have been reported so far.
