Uzneftegazinspeksiya revealed a number of serious violations in the consumption of natural gas, the press service of the Energy Ministry said.
In total, from January 1 to August 15, it was found out that 1,763 consumers were using the natural gas without proper documentation. According to preliminary estimates, the volume of illegally used gas amounted to 39.7 million cubic meters.
In the first 15 days of August alone, the number of wholesale consumers using natural gas without the necessary documentation was 187, and the volume of illegally used gas was 3.2 million cubic meters.
In particular, it was discovered that in the Karmana district of the Navoi region, the LLC Bahor Inter Asia, which is specialized in brick production, was using 417,000 cubic meters of natural gas illegally. In addition, 213,000 cubic meters of natural gas was illegally used at the “Kumkurgan Estakada” enterprise owned by the JSC Jarkurganneft, located in the Kumkurgan district of the Surkhandarya region.
There are also facts of gas theft at enterprises producing lime. In particular, the LLC “Kirabad mavjlari” (Karakul district, Bukhara region) allowed theft of 75,000 cubic meters of gas, LLC “Orbita globus” (Yashnabad district, Tashkent) – 219,000 cubic meters, LLC “Domteks” (Urtachirchik district, Tashkent region) illegally appropriated 330,000 cubic meters of natural gas.
In other regions of the country, the number of enterprises illegally using natural gas was 101, and the theft of the valuable raw material amounted to 1.4 million cubic meters.
The Ministry of Energy asked all consumers to take good care of the consumption of natural gas and to strictly observe the legislation on its proper and rational use.
