Presidential decree: Khokims will have assistants that will be responsible for localization of production

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On further increasing the responsibility of state and business administration bodies and local executive authorities for introducing a new production localization system and accelerating cooperation ties in industries”.

The document says that the lack of a single system for localizing industrial production is the reason for the incomplete use of production capacities, a decrease in the level of creating a value chain through deep processing of local raw materials.

Now, one of the most important tasks of the authorities will be the localization of finished goods production. Especially for this, the post of assistant khokim on the issues of localization of production will appear at administrations.

Formation of a list of products for localization, attracting foreign partners for the development of import-substituting goods will be among his main tasks. He will lead a permanent active working group.

The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade is instructed to develop a draft resolution that will approve a program to increase the volume of localized products in 2020-2021 by at least 20%, in particular, commissioning new projects to establish the development of goods with a high share of imports.

The State Enterprise Support Fund provides support for the production of import-substituting products in the form of a guarantee and compensation of interest payments on a loan.
