Uzbekistan national football team to play a friendly match against Iraq
On September 9, the Uzbek national football team will hold a friendly match against the Iraqi national team in Jordan, the Uzbekistan Football Association reports.
As it is known, in September, the second qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup starts. The Uzbekistan national team, which is in group D, will play their first qualifying match against Palestine. The game will be held on September 5 at 19:00 (Tashkent time) at the Faisal al-Husseini Stadium in Al-Ram.
In addition, on September 10, there will be a series of matches of the 2nd round of the World Cup qualifying stage. According to the calendar, Héctor Cúper’s team will rest in this round. In this regard, on September 9, our national team will hold a friendly match against Iraq during the FIFA days. The game will be held in Amman – the capital city of Jordan.
It should be recalled that group D also includes Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Yemen.
