Uzbekistan ratifies two international documents
On August 27, 2019, the following two conventions of the International Labor Organization were ratified by Uzbekistan.
They are:
• Labor Inspection (Agriculture) Convention No.129 (Geneva, 25 June 1969);
• Convention No.81 concerning Labor Inspection in Industry and Commerce (Geneva, 11 July 1947).
The agricultural labor inspection system set forth in ILO Convention No.129 applies to agricultural enterprises that employ or hire workers, regardless of the type of payment, type of contract, and duration of their work.
The ILO Convention No.81, application of the system of labor inspection at industrial workplaces covers all workplaces provided by labor inspectors, with regard to the working conditions and the rules for the protection of workers in the workplace.
