Shavkat Mirziyoyev presents awards to a group of citizens and foreign nationals

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev presented awards to Uzbeks and foreign citizens at the Kuksaroy residence, the press service of the head of state said.

In accordance with presidential decrees, on the eve of the 28th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s Independence, a group of compatriots who achieved high results in various fields, as well as foreign citizens who made a great contribution to strengthening cooperation, were awarded orders and medals.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated the award recipients and attendees of the ceremony, calling them “true sons and daughters of our Motherland, conscientious people with a high sense of duty”. He expressed his appreciation for their fruitful, honest and dedicated work.

“A dialogue with people has never reached such a level before. Only by listening to people, we can make the right plans. Changes happening in all regions and spheres are the result of work carried out together with the people,” Mirziyoyev said.

The people-oriented, philanthropic policy of Uzbekistan, according to the President, is recognized by the international community.

“For us, the only right way and the only goal is to protect the interests of our nation, people, natives of Uzbekistan. On this path, we need to pursue a comprehensively thought-out policy. We are facing complex challenges. We set ambitious goals, as we are confident about our people – such brave and selfless compatriots like you,” Mirziyoyev added.
