Uzbek airline Qanot Sharq plans to purchase three air carriers
The Uzbek airline Qanot Sharq has signed a contract for leasing Superjet 100 aircrafts of the “Sukhoi Civil Aircraft” company. The agreement was inked following the results of the MAKS-2019 aerospace show. The enterprises belonging to the United Aircraft Corporation have signed a number of agreements on the supply, promotion and after-sales service of aircrafts on the Russian and international markets, the newspaper Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.
LLC Qanot Sharq, one of the first non-state airlines in the Republic of Uzbekistan, was established in 1998. It is specialized in organizing international cargo and passenger air transportation.
In August, the founder of the company Nosir Abdugafarov said at an interview with Kun.uz that Qanot Sharq intends to launch a regional airline in Uzbekistan.
