Aziza Umarova withdraws her candidacy for parliamentary election
Executive director of the company Smartgov Consulting, Aziza Umarova, has changed her mind about running for parliament. She wrote about it on her Facebook page.
“I have no political ambitions, no intentions to be a deputy, as I am not sure that there will be serious changes compared to the previous elections in terms of nominating candidates,” she said.
It should be noted that she announced her plans about becoming a deputy earlier this summer.
“Why have I decided so? Because now we are working on one important project in the field of education. If there is some risk of refusal to register, then my duty is to remove any nerve-wracking reasons... For the sake of the future of youth in our country,” Umarova writes.
According to her, she did not know a single deputy for all her entire life. “And the next five years will pass like that. For all these months, the party UzLiDep has not yet invited to any meeting. The nomination process is unclear. All of this is vanity. I hope that at least a few worthy active people, like Rasul Kusherbayev, will be successful,” Umarova added.
She emphasized that it is not the time to set high standards, talk about parties and renewed parliaments.
