Bill “On publishing activities” prepared for adoption

The Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis is preparing the draft law “On publishing activities” for adoption in the second reading.

The law is concerned with regulating the activities of publishers, manufacturers, authors and distributors of published materials.

It should be noted that this law regulates not only the production of paper materials, but also their electronic releases, which are increasingly prevalent today.

Deputies critically studied the draft document and made a number of important proposals, implementation of which will significantly increase the effectiveness of law enforcement. In particular, liberalizing the activities of business entities in the publishing sector, expanding government support and protecting copyright of domestic market participants were proposed.
