Head of the First President’s Security Service shares his memories about Islam Karimov

The head of the First President’s Security Service Akhat Nasirov shared his memories about Islam Karimov.

“The time when we worked together with President Islam Karimov was an era of historical change. 25 years is a significant period, during which the country, people, ideology, security and stability have developed,” Nasirov said.

He noted that historians, political scientists and sociologists will study the past history for a long time. 

“I am thankful that I met Islam Karimov. I learned a lot from him and earned valuable experience,” he said.

Akhat Nasirov noted that Islam Karimov was a very demanding person.

“He was a self-demanding and competent person. He had encyclopedic knowledge,” Nasirov remembers.
