Veolia to modernize the heat supply system in Tashkent
At the Ministry of Finance, a meeting was held with a delegation of the French company Veolia Environment, headed by the Vice President for Central and Eastern Europe Malika Genduri.
The concept of the project on transferring the management of heat supply system in Tashkent as part of the public-private partnership was discussed at the meeting, the Ministry of Finance said.
“The project provides for the modernization and development of the urban heat supply system to the level of international technical and environmental standards, as well as the introduction of modern information systems for accounting for the generated and realized energy resources,” the report says.
The company submitted for consideration the concept of an agreement with a feasibility study on the project to the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services and the administration of Tashkent.
Earlier it became known that Uzbekistan and the French company signed an agreement on modernizing the water supply system in Tashkent. The contract will be designed for 25 years and the total turnover will be about €1.5 billion.
