Uzbekistan ratifies two international treaties
The President of Uzbekistan signed a resolution “On ratification of the international agreement”.
According to the document, the Agreement on cooperation of customs authorities of the CIS in the field of protection of intellectual property rights, which was signed on May 31, 2019 at the meeting of the CIS Council of Government Heads in Ashgabat, was approved.
The State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan has been designated as the authorized body responsible for implementation of the above-mentioned international agreement.
The Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan shall submit to the depositary appropriate notification on the fulfillment of the internal procedures required by the republic for the entry into force of this international agreement and the authorized body responsible for its implementation.
After this international agreement enters into force, the Cabinet of Ministers and heads of relevant ministries and agencies shall ensure control over fulfillment of obligations of the republic.
In addition, according to another presidential decree, the agreement on interregional cooperation between the Government of Uzbekistan and the Government of Belarus, signed on 1 August 2019 in Minsk, was approved.
The Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan shall send to the Republic of Belarus the relevant notification on fulfillment of the internal procedures by the Republic of Uzbekistan required for the entry into force of this international agreement.
After this international agreement’s entry into force, the Cabinet of Ministers and heads of relevant ministries and agencies shall ensure control over fulfillment of obligations of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
