Central Election Commission approves budget for preparation and holding of parliamentary elections

On October 15, 2019, the regular meeting of the Central Election Commission was held in the form of video-conference.

During the meeting the budget for preparation and holding of elections to the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis, regional, district and city councils of people's deputies was approved.

The amount of public funds allocated to finance the participation of political parties in the election was determined as follows:

For the candidate to the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis - 10 832 000 (ten million eight hundred thirty two thousand) soums;

For the candidate to the regional and Tashkent city Council of People's Deputies - 2 000 000 (two million) soums;

For the candidate to the district and city council of People's Deputies - 1 000 000 (one million) soum.

It was reported that in previous elections, no funds were allocated to candidates for local councils.
