Uzbekistan, EU reach agreement on a long-term contact plan
The head of the Uzbekistan’s diplomatic mission to the EU Dilyor Khakimov met with the Deputy Managing Director for Europe and Central Asia of the European External Action Service Luke Devine, the MFA press service reported.
During the conversation, the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for their development were examined. In particular, the parties discussed the development of the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (EPCA) between Uzbekistan and the EU, the practical aspects of the upcoming visit of Uzbekistan’s delegation, headed by Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov, to Brussels.
The sides reached an agreement on events within the framework of the upcoming meetings of the Subcommittee between Uzbekistan and the EU for Development Cooperation, which will be held on October 23-24 in Tashkent.
The parties also agreed on a number of joint activities in Brussels, including a long-term contact plan.
