Svetlana Artikova appointed Deputy Prosecutor General
A new personnel appointment has occurred in the Prosecutor General’s Office of Uzbekistan.
According to a source in the government, deputy chairman of the Senate of Oliy Majlis Svetlana Artikova has been appointed Deputy Prosecutor General of Uzbekistan.
Svetlana Artikova was born on January 1, 1962 in the Namangan region. In 1987, she graduated from Tashkent State University of Law. For many years she worked in the prosecutor’s office.
In 2010-2014, she served as a Chairman of the Senate Committee of Oliy Majlis on legislation and judicial issues. She also worked as Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission.
On January 20, 2015 by a presidential decree, Svetlana Artikova was appointed senator and in the same year, she was elected Deputy Chairman of the Senate of Oliy Majlis.
