In Tashkent, law enforcement bodies detained employees of the Chilanzar district khokimiyat, who forged the signatures of Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov and Tashkent’s khokim Jakhongir Artikhodjayev.

As Kun.uz source reported, employees of the Chilanzar district khokimiyat in conspiracy with other persons (two temporarily unemployed and one lawyer) illegally seized property of the third parties. In particular, in February 2017, they promised to allocate two land plots to entrepreneurs forging signatures in the documents, and said that the service would cost $1.1 million. Land permits were allegedly obtained at the Tashkent city department of architecture and construction.

In June 2018, scammers made protocols with the signature of Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov and gave these documents to entrepreneurs. In September 2018, they also ordered the land allocation with the signature of Tashkent’s khokim Jakhongir Artikhodjayev.

In general, from February 2017 to September 2018, fraudsters, on the pretext of allocating land plots, forged various documents signed by the PM Abdulla Aripov and Tashkent’s khokim Jakhongir Artikhodjayev. They issued fake document to entrepreneurs. As a result, they managed to “earn” $527,000.

Later, scammers were detained by law enforcement officers. They were charged under Articles 168 (fraud), 211 (bribery) and 228 (production, forgery of documents, stamps, seals, letterheads, their sale or use) of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan.

On October 23 this year, the Shaykhantakhur district court on criminal proceedings announced the verdict against two employees of the Chilanzar district khokimiyat, as well as their accomplices. They were sentenced under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code.
