Uzbekistan, EU agree to organize mutual exchange of delegations to strengthen ties
On November 11, 2019, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met in Brussels with Senior Political and Communication Advisor to the President of the European Council Paweł Graś.
During the meeting, prospects for the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union in various fields and formats were discussed.
The parties emphasized willingness to strengthen bilateral political ties and inter-parliamentary contacts, including between Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and the parliaments of the EU member states through the mutual exchange of delegations and experience in lawmaking, as well as information and analytical materials that contribute to increasing the effectiveness of parliamentary activities.
In this context, special attention was paid to the participation of representatives from EU structures in the upcoming parliamentary elections on December 22 as international observers.
Other issues of mutual interest were also considered at the meeting.
