In the Muynak district of Karakalpakstan, daily production rate of a well, drilled by JSC Uzbekneftegaz in cooperation with the ERIELL Group, amounted to 1 million cubic meters of gas.
According to the press service of the Energy Ministry of Uzbekistan, the bottom hole is 3,716 meters, reaching the depth of the Lower Jurassic deposits. Drilling at the Kuyi Surgil field was carried out as part of the program for increasing hydrocarbon production in 2017-2021.
Now the work is underway on the well to test and develop it, as a result of which the daily production rate will be specified.
Specialists working at the facility noted that this is a result of the entire team’s coordinated work. “We have set plans for ourselves, set specific goals – and here one of them has been achieved: 1 million cubic meters of gas per day is an excellent result,” specialists noted.
