Law enforcement officers detain a man, who advertised the falsified number plate “01 001 VIP”

It should be recalled that recently a video was published on social networks in which an unknown man shows the car number plate “01 001 VIP”.

According to correspondents of the “Sevimli” TV channel, the Tashkent city police department found the “seller” of the car number plates. It turned out to be a 32-year-old resident of the capital.

“I saw such beautiful numbers on the Internet. I am a student and study in Moscow. There are a lot of printing houses and they can make such numbers. I talked to them, and they said that they could make this number. I just wanted to brag to my friends,” he said.

The man noted that his acquaintances brought him the car number plate from Moscow.

“When I published the video, the hype began. They started to write to me through Instagram and order such numbers. People asked various questions. For example, whether the radar will catch the number plate, etc. At the same time, I said that the number plate was made in the printing house,” he said.

It also became known that one of the customers, after watching the video, ordered the number plate “01 707” and was ready to pay $150. The 32-year-old student was detained at the time of transfer of the cash.

A senior inspector of the press service of the Traffic Safety Directorate of Tashkent spoke about how original license plates differ from fake ones.

Currently, law enforcement officials are conducting an appropriate audit against the 32-year-old resident of the capital.

Earlier, it was reported that the state number plate “01 001 VIP” was not produced by the SUE “Uzavtomotobelgi”. Based on the requirements of the state standard of the Republic of Uzbekistan (O’zDSt 640:2014), the letter “I” is not used in the manufacture of state number plates.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs also recalled that the manufacture and use of state number plates in handwritten form entails responsibility in the manner prescribed by law. According to Article 125 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, driving with falsified or otherwise modified state number plates, as well as with state number plates that do not belong to this vehicle, shall be sanctioned with a fine of ten base calculating amount.
