Norwegian Equinor may conduct geological explorations in Uzbekistan

The Norwegian international energy company Equinor (formerly Statoil) is considering the possibility of geological exploration in Uzbekistan, the Uzbekneftegaz press service said.
On November 13-14, the head of Uzbekneftegaz JSC Bakhodir Sidikov held talks with the delegation of Equinor.
“Within the framework of the meeting, promising areas of cooperation in the field of geological exploration at the investment blocks of Uzbekistan were discussed,” the report says.
Also, the Norwegian side announced its readiness to organize advanced training for specialists of Uzbekneftegaz JSC in their company and share experience in corporate transformation.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on signing a Memorandum of Understanding for the transition to practical implementation of the cooperation development plan.
