President of Tatarstan during a visit to Uzbekistan to discuss the supply of helicopters
On Monday, November 25, the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov will pay a working visit to Tashkent, during which he will open the Tatarstan-Uzbekistan forum. This was announced by the official representative of the Kazan Kremlin Lilia Galimova at a briefing in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan, Tatar-inform reports.
“The forum will focus on expanding cooperation in such areas as the supply of helicopters, automobile tires, agricultural equipment, petroleum products, household chemicals and others to Uzbekistan. The issue of participation of our companies in the construction and modernization of electric and hydropower facilities will be considered,” Galimova said.
“Tatarstan is interested in deliveries from Uzbekistan of light industry and agricultural products,” she added.
After the forum, Minnikhanov intends to meet with the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov. During the meeting, issues of building an industrial park in Tashkent region with participation of “Khimgrad” and modernization of the healthcare system of Uzbekistan with participation of “Eidos-Medicine” company will be considered. It is planned to sign an agreement between Tatneft and the rubber products factory of Uzbekneftegaz.
