In 16 auto-gas-filling compressor stations (CNG filling stations), large thefts were revealed.
From November 22 to December 1, employees of Uzneftegazinspeksiya, together with representatives of the Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement (BCE), specialists of Khududgaztaminot JSC and metrologists of Uzstandart agency, conducted corresponding audits at 72 CNG filling stations.
During the checks, it became known that methane gas stations caused damage to the state in the amount of 30.4 billion soums ($3.2 million).
According to the press service of Uzneftegazinspeksiya, the configurations of the incoming natural gas for refueling were changed in meters by connecting a personal computer to them. Therefore, the meters did not record and store the reading of incoming natural gas to a gas station in full.
The theft was discovered in Tashkent, Syrdarya and Kashkadarya regions. In particular, in the Syrdarya region, employees of a methane gas station plundered gas worth 11.4 billion soums. In another gas station of the Tashkent region, CNG worth 3.6 billion soums was misappropriated.
All materials on the above facts were forwarded to law enforcement bodies. Measures to comply with the rules for the use of natural gas are ongoing.
