Cricket Federation established in Uzbekistan

According to the Justice Ministry, Cricket Federation of Uzbekistan has been registered in the country.

The main goal of this organization is to popularize and develop cricket as a sport, comprehensively increase its status, and promote a healthy lifestyle among the population.

Cricket is one of the oldest sports, dating back to the 13th century. Now there are more than a billion fans of the game in the world including in Australia, England, India, Pakistan and New Zealand.

In addition, the Ministry of Justice has registered the Maqom Maktabi Research Center (Makom School).

The primary objective of the organization is the further development of maqom art in Uzbekistan, the formation of a pop art repertoire in accordance with the requirements of the time, the creation of conditions and wide opportunities for realizing the creative potential of maqom performers.
