Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia (SPUR) will open a branch in Tashkent, the press service of the Ministry of Preschool Education said.
The decision to open a branch was made during a video-conference meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Preschool Education, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of Uzbekistan and the SPUR.
“The Herzen University is one of the leading pedagogical higher education institutions in Russia with effective programs and teaching methods. I would like to note our positive experience of cooperation: specialists of the Nukus PEO with the “Imkon” rehabilitation center were trained at the Herzen University. We plan to involve faculty professors and researchers from St. Petersburg in the work of the Tashkent branch,” the Minister of Preschool Education Agrippina Shin said.
During the upcoming meetings, the parties plan to create a complete list of faculties, as well as to begin developing bachelor and master programs.
State Pedagogical University of Russia named after A. I. Herzen is the largest pedagogical university in Russia, founded in 1797. It trains bachelors and masters students in more than 30 specialties.
