PDPU calls Agency for External Labor Migration the most corrupt organization in Uzbekistan

On December 10, the “Democratic debate” talk show was held in Tashkent with the participation of representatives of political parties. 

During the debate, UzLiDeP members questioned the PDPU representatives. They asked what the political party had done for migrants in the area of employment and insurance.

The PDPU representative Boymurod Yusupov answered the question.

“First of all, I will frankly say one thing about external migration. I am ready to stand for my words anywhere. The Agency for External Labor Migration under the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations is the most corrupt organization. The leaders of this agency are also corrupt. I want to talk about migrants, who left for foreign countries through this agency. The organization illegally takes millions of soums from migrants,” he said.

Answering the question of UzLiDeP, Boymurod Yusupov said that the political party intends to create special cooperatives that will provide the population with work.

“A person, who sits at home, can find a job through the cooperative. For example, the cooperative’s employees will inform him that today a farmer needs 50 workers and he pays such a salary,” he noted.

Boymurod Yusupov concluded that this method of work will provide Uzbek citizens with a pension, and the rights of workers will be protected.
