The local budget of the city of Tashkent for 2020 is approved. A relevant draft document was published for discussion.
According to the Law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2020”, the following changes were made to the expenditure system of the local budget of Tashkent:
The followings will be financed from the republican budget:
- expenditures of the 1st and 2nd groups of secondary public schools and kindergartens (the 4th group is financed from the budgets of the relevant districts);
- renovation costs of the Housing Fund adjacent to apartment buildings;
- expenditures for the overhaul of heating networks and boiler equipment of the heat supply organizations, included in the system of the Ministry of Housing and Utilities of Uzbekistan;
From the city budget:
- expenses for compensation of damages of heat energy producers by using reduced tariffs for heating services provided to the population;
- expenditures for the operation of public roads;
- compensation of damage caused to citizens or legal entities as a result of illegal actions (inaction) of state bodies or officials of these organizations;
- capital investments for designing, construction (reconstruction), overhaul and equipping of secondary public schools, preschool and medical institutions in Tashkent;
From the budget of districts:
- social benefits provided through self-government bodies of citizens;
- expenditures for maintaining the district and city centers of state sanitary-epidemiological surveillance.
For information, the Reserve Fund of the capital’s budget for 2020 is set at 36.015 billion soums.
