On December 26, people in Uzbekistan will be able to witness a solar eclipse, the Academy of Sciences said.
This astronomical phenomenon can be observed as a partial solar eclipse in all regions of the republic.
The eclipse will begin at 8:00 in the morning and continue until 10:06.
A solar eclipse occurs when a portion of the Earth is engulfed in a shadow cast by the Moon which fully or partially blocks sunlight. This occurs when the Sun, Moon and Earth are aligned.
