Tanzila Narbayeva meets with President Ilham Aliyev in Baku

On December 17, the delegation of Uzbekistan, headed by the chairperson of the Senate of Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva, arrived in Baku. The delegation takes part in the ninth plenary meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking states, the upper house of parliament said.

On the same day, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Tanzila Narbayeva. Aliyev touched upon the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for their further development.

He recalled the visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Baku and the participation of Uzbekistan in the 7th Summit of the Turkic Council as a full member. 

During the conversation, an exchange of views took place on the further development of inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.

Aliyev welcomed the participation of the delegation of Uzbekistan in the events of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking states. The parties expressed confidence in the successful holding of the ninth plenary meeting of the TURKPA, during which important issues will be discussed.
