Customs officers detain counterfeit goods worth more than half a billion soums in Baysun
Customs officers prevented smuggling of goods in large consignments.
In the Baysun district, Surkhandarya region, employees of the department for combating smuggling and customs violations held an operational event, the press service of the State Customs Committee reports.
During the event, an ISUZU truck, operated by citizen Y. F., was stopped and checked in the established manner.
As a result, tobacco products (without excise stamps) produced abroad in the amount of 101.3 million soums and drugs of unknown quality totaling 435.2 million soums, were found in the truck. The driver had no documents confirming the customs inspection of the goods in the vehicle.
Currently, the customs authorities are conducting preliminary inspections on this fact.
