Highest divorce rate recorded in Andijan region in 2019

In January-December 2019, 31,400 divorces were recorded in Uzbekistan, the State Statistics Committee reports.
The growth of registered divorces compared to the same period in 2018 was observed in Andijan region (12%), the Republic of Karakalpakstan (7.5%), Samarkand (6.9%) and Navoi (5.5%) regions.
In 2019, civil registry offices registered 310,900 marriages. In the republic, the marriage rate per 1,000 population was 9.3 ppm.
The growth of registered marriages compared to the same period in 2018 was observed in Samarkand (3.4%), Khorezm (1.5%), Fergana (1.4%) regions, the Republic of Karakalpakstan (1.3%) and Kashkadarya (1, 3%) region.
