The Criminal Code of Uzbekistan will be developed in a new edition. This is stated in the roadmap on the implementation of the National Human Rights Strategy of the country.
It is noted that the relevant bill will be developed in 2020. Responsible executors are the Prosecutor General’s Office, MIA, SSS, Supreme Court and the Ministry of Justice.
Also, a legal framework for the protection and exercise of the rights of victims as a result of criminal acts, as well as draft normative-legal acts and organizational measures on guaranteeing compensation for material and moral damage will be developed.
Term of completion – by 2021, responsible executors – Supreme Court, Prosecutor General’s Office, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Finance and Civil Society Development Center.
