Nurdinjon Ismoilov criticizes sudden increase of prices for medicines

On February 12, a number of legislative drafts were discussed in the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis. Kun.uz correspondent reports. The Speaker Nurdinjon Ismoilov talked about problems with shortage of medicines in hospitals, cases when doctors conspired with pharmacies. 

“At the end of last year, at a meeting devoted to corruption in the Prosecutor General’s Office, the healthcare system was noted as particularly corruptogenic. It also indicates the need for additional work at places,” Nurdinjon Ismoilov emphasized.

According to Ismoilov, a big problem is the increase in prices for medicines. “Prices of medicines are increasing day by day. Who will control this industry? If meat prices rise, then the whole government, leaders of all sectors study the situation. The price of medicines is constantly growing, but no one pays attention to it. The people are very dissatisfied with this. Why do not you seek the help of the public to control this?” Ismoilov addressed to representatives of the medical sector.

“Now, deputies will also visit the places in order to control this situation,” he added.
