On February 24-28, a delegation of Lithuania headed by Deputy Speaker of Seimas Irena Šiaulienė will visit Uzbekistan, the MFA press service reported.
The delegation will include chairman of the inter-parliamentary cooperation group with the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan in the Seimas of Lithuania Valerijus Simulik, deputy ministers of education, science and sports, Valdemaras Razumas and Cornelia Korneliya Tiesnesytė, as well as members of parliament, representatives of educational and public circles.
The program of the visit includes meetings with the leaders of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis, ministries of public, higher and secondary specialized education, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as in the khokimiyats of Tashkent and Samarkand.
The Lithuanian delegation will also take part in the international educational fair “EDUFAIR - Education and Career Exhibition – 2020” in Tashkent.
