According to the deputy of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis Rasul Kusherbayev, the chairman of the executive committee of the UzLiDeP political council Aktam Khayitov criticized Alisher Kadirov’s recent statements regarding the conflict in Altynsay.

To note, on February 14, there was a conflict between citizens and employees of the internal affairs bodies due to the illegal use of land in the Altynsay district of Surkhandarya region. According to the press service of the Prosecutor’s office, 2 police officers and 1 citizen were injured.

“The violation of the law committed by a group of citizens in the Altynsay district of Surkhandarya region, attempts to undermine public order should be regarded as a crime and disrespect to both our laws and our values,” Alisher Kadirov wrote on his Facebook page then.

Kadirov emphasized that law enforcement agencies should “openly investigate the crime and impose severe penalties on those responsible.” He also stated that “in the U.S., police even have the right to shoot if necessary.”

“Citizens cannot be blamed here. There are flaws in our system. Alisher Kadirov as a deputy has obligations to the people. Each citizen has his own personal opinion. Perhaps Alisher Kadirov expressed his opinion as a citizen, however, making such statement as a deputy is not appropriate,” said Aktam Khayitov.

He emphasized that the head of the Milliy Tiklanish political party should respect people.

“Even if Alisher Kadirov is not elected from Surkhandarya region, still there are his deputies there. Each voter has the right to receive a corresponding answer from the deputy,” said the leader of UzLiDeP.

Aktam Khayitov emphasized that party representatives have no right to ignore citizens, even if they did not elect them.
