Statistics Committee announces average monthly growth rate of consumer prices and tariffs for February
In February 2020, the average monthly growth rate of consumer prices and tariffs amounted to 0.8%.

According to the State Statistics Committee, during the first two months of 2020, prices for goods and services rose by an average of 1.4%.
The prices and tariffs have increased by 13.5% in comparison to February 2019.
The highest price increase was observed for foodstuffs – 1.3%. At the same time, prices for non-foodstuffs rose by 0.6% and services - by 0.3%.
In general, in January-February 2020, prices for foodstuffs increased by 2.4%, non-foods - by 0.8%, services - by 0.6%.
In February 2020, food prices were higher by 0.3 percentage points than the corresponding figure of the previous month.
An increase was observed among the main types of foodstuffs during the month, which included fruits and vegetables (3.2%), meat, poultry and fish (1.9%), bakery products and alcohol (0.8%). Compared to the end of 2019, prices for fruits and vegetables (7.2%), as well as meat, poultry and fish (2.3%) significantly increased.
