Government trying to regulate methane gas prices amid economic adjustments
From June 1 to August 1, 2024, the maximum retail price for one cubic meter of methane gas at car fueling stations has been set at 3,750 UZS.
On May 25, 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a decision to extend the maximum retail price for methane gas. The Energy Ministry reported this development.
According to the decision, the existing maximum retail price introduced by clause 7 of decision number 475 of September 15, 2023, will continue to set the price at 3750 UZS per cubic meter until August 1, 2024, at natural gas compressor fueling stations for vehicles.
It's worth noting that on March 30, the Cabinet of Ministers also extended the maximum retail price of methane for light vehicles for two months. The maximum price per cubic meter was increased from 3,250 UZS to 3,350 UZS at that time.
