Business Schools of Uzbekistan and Malaysia eye to cooperate

On March 2, 2020, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Malaysia Ravshan Usmanov and the director of the Republican Grand School of Business and Management named after Abu Rayhan Beruni Rustam Abduraupov met with the CEO of Putra Business School Zulkornain Yusop, in Kuala Lumpur.

Putra Business School was founded in 1997 under the Universiti Putra Malaysia and has become one of the best business schools in the country and the region as a whole.

During the meeting, the Malaysian side was provided with detailed information on the activities of the Republican Grand School of Business and Management and then parties discussed the prospects for interaction between the two educational institutions. It was emphasized that one of the main areas of cooperation with foreign educational institutions is the training of qualified specialists in the digital economy as part of several projects in the Year of Development of Science, Education and the Digital Economy.

The sides also reached an agreement on cooperation in the following areas:

  •  introducing a joint double-degree educational program at the Republican Grand School of Business and Management;
  •  organization of tailor-made courses and internships for executives and managers of Uzbek companies with a focus on digital economy;
  •  conducting joint conferences, seminars and other scientific and educational events both in Uzbekistan and in Malaysia, as well as the implementation of scientific researches;
  •  organization of mutual study tours for students.

Following the talks, representatives signed corresponding documents on the partnership between the Republican Grand School of Business and Management named after Abu Rayhan Beruni and Putra Business School and the implementation of the agreements reached.
