Khokim of Namangan city becomes State Ecology Committee Chairman

As the deputy of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis Rasul Kusherbayev reported, today, March 5, at the recommendation of PM Abdulla Aripov, deputies considered and approved the candidacy of Shavkat Abdurazzakov for the post of chairman of the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection.

“The candidacy was considered and approved at the plenary meeting of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis,” the deputy said.

Shavkat Abdurazzakov was appointed khokim of the Namangan city in July 2017. Prior to his appointment, Abdurazzakov worked as head of a department at the Cabinet of Ministers.

It should be recalled that in April 2017, in accordance with the presidential decree, the State Committee for Nature Protection was transformed into the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection.
