The Minister of Public Education, Sherzod Shermatov, responded to a question about the length of school holidays in Uzbekistan.
“It is not yet known how long the vacation will last. This will be decided by the government-level commission. Ministers are also included in this commission.
I would also like to add that vacation is not a reason to be complacent about education, having fun and playing outside. We have to take care of our children.
The issue of “social distancing” is being raised around the world. It is good that children are away from each other. We ask parents to consider this matter with great responsibility. As the Prime Minister said, all of us have to unite to cope with the challenges we face,” Shermatov said.
It should be recalled that on March 16, students of all higher educational institutions, schoolchildren and pupils of preschool organizations were given an early vacation due to coronavirus.
