806-meter section of gas pipeline stolen in Kashkadarya
On February 16, a group of people stole 806 meters of an inoperative gas pipeline (estimated cost is 84.6 million soums) stretched across the territory of the Tinchlik mahalla in the Koson district, Kashkadarya region. This was reported by the Investigative Department of the Interior Ministry.
The Department of Internal Affairs of the Kosonsky district opened a criminal case on this fact under Article 169, part 3, paragraph “B” of the Criminal Code (theft committed in large scale).
During the investigation, officers detained the driver of a DAF truck, A.A., while he was transporting 84 pieces of pipes to Samarkand region.
It was established that the pipes were abducted by 37-year-old A.D. and 53-year-old Sh.K. They agreed with 36-year-old B.N to cut the pipeline with a welding torch and, with the help of 9 friends, 25-year-old Ya.M. loaded them on the truck.
