Uzbekistan sold gold for little over $1 billion in two months

In January-February 2020, Uzbekistan exported gold for $1.005 billion, follows from the data of the State Statistics Committee.
According to the committee, the growth rate was 1.7% compared to January-February 2019. In the first two months of 2020, the share of gold in the export structure of Uzbekistan was 38.2%.
It should be noted that Uzbekistan has increased gold exports in recent years. It totaled to $823.9 million in 2015, $738.2 million in 2016, $1.6 billion in 2017, $2.91 billion in 2018 and $4.9 billion in 2019.
