Deputy Minister: Students will continue to receive their stipends during the quarantine period
Students will continue to receive their stipends during the quarantine period, Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education Uzoqboy Begimkulov told UzReport.
“Stipends will be paid in a timely manner, as they were before. Only the form of payment is subject to change. This means students who used to get stipends in cash now receive them on a plastic card,” Begimkulov said.
According to the representative of the ministry, the duration of summer vacations may be reduced due to quarantine. The length of the summer vacations will directly depend on the length of the quarantine period.
“Regardless of the duration of the unplanned quarantine vacation, we have created all the necessary conditions for students to catch up with educational programs through distance learning,” Begimkulov said.
