Ministry of Health provides additional information on patients with coronavirus

According to the ministry, in Uzbekistan, the number of cases of coronavirus infection reached 83. Of these, 35 are men and 48 are women, 5 of them being younger than 18 years of age.

5 patients are between the age of 0 and 9, 2 patients – 10 to 19 years old, 24 – 20 to 29 years old, 17 – 30 to 39 years old, 16 – 40 to 49 years old, 11 – 50 to 59 years old, 7 – 60 to 69 years, and a single patient was older than 70 (this patient died of myocardial infarction today).

So far, coronavirus infection has been detected in 23 people who have visited France, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, Saudi Arabia and Switzerland, as well as in 60 people who have been in contact with them.

“Andijan currently has 3 patients with coronavirus, Fergana has 6 and Namangan – 5. Patients are being treated in regional infectious diseases hospitals,” the press service said.

Among the quarantined passengers of the March 22 Istanbul – Bukhara charter flight, three people tested positive for COVID-19. Currently, the infectious diseases hospital of Bukhara region took responsibility for treating them. The remaining patients are in the clinic of the Virology Research Institute located in the capital. All the patients receive treatment according to the WHO standards.

The Ministry of Health, along with relevant ministries and departments, conducts an epidemiological investigation and takes all measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection.
