Shavkat Mirziyoyev appoints new first deputy chairman of Central Bank
A new deputy chairman of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan has been appointed.

In accordance with a presidential decree, Botir Zokhidov has been appointed first deputy chairman of the Central Bank.
Prior to his appointment – since August 2017 – Zokhidov had worked as deputy chairman of the Central Bank. He also headed the currency exchange department of the bank.
Botir Zokhidov graduated from the Tashkent Financial Institute in 2003, and in 2008 – from the Banking and Finance Academy of Uzbekistan.
He started his career in 2003 in the JSCB “Asakabank”. Consequently, he headed the foreign economic relations department of the bank in 2005-2009.
