Another 10 people test positive for coronavirus in Uzbekistan
The number of coronavirus infection cases in Uzbekistan has increased by another 10 and reached 1,390 people, the Ministry of Health said in a statement.
“As of 16:00, April 17, the number of coronavirus infection cases in the country stands at 1,390,” the statement reads.
The first case of coronavirus infection in Uzbekistan was detected on March 15. In April, the number of cases began to rise sharply. On April 11-12, 98 new cases were confirmed, on April 13 – 133. On April 14, a record daily increase in the number of patients was registered – 167 and on April 15, the number of recorded new cases dropped to 137.
On April 16, the growth rate slowed to 47 people.
So far, 140 patients have fully recovered from the disease and were sent to a rehabilitation center, four people died.
